Polytrol

Polytrol, which does not contain silicone, is a deep penetrating oil that restores the original look and finishes to gelcoat, plastic, metal, and other surfaces. Drying to a tough, long lasting, flexible finish, Polytrol penetrates deeply, re-wetting the pigments so restore the colour and lustre, which have been lost through exposure to sunlight, rain, and pollution. On bare metals, Polytrol restores the shine and protects against corrosion.

General directions

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dirt, grease, grime and mildew. All waxes, polishes, silicone etc should be completely and thoroughly removed. Treat mildew with a 50/50 bleach/water solution. Scrub solution on to surface and allow to stand 10-15 minutes, rinse thoroughly.

Plastic, gelcoat, tiles, painted surfaces etc:

• Clean the surface with warm soapy water.
• Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry a minimum of 24 hours depending on the surface

Stone, brick, etc:

• Clean surface 
• Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry a minimum of 24 hours depending on the surface

Metal:

• Clean the surface and rinse thoroughly
• Leave to dry for a minimum of 24 hours

Application

Always work in areas that can be completed 10-20 min. If the surface absorbs POLYTROL® unevenly i.e. matt and shiny patches move surplus oil from shiny areas to matt areas.

Wipe off excess POLYTROL with a clean lint free cloth before it becomes tacky.

For a shinier finish, buff the surface with a lint free polishing cloth.

Plastic, gelcoat, tiles, painted surfaces etc:

1. Apply POLYTROL liberally and evenly with a brush or cloth.
2. Allow to work 10-20 min.
3. Wipe off excess POLYTROL with a clean lint free cloth.
4. Leave to dry.

Stone, brick, etc:

1. Apply POLYTROL liberally and evenly with a brush or cloth.
2. Allow to work 10-20 min.
3. Brush out or wipe off excess POLYTROL with a clean lint free cloth.
4. Leave to dry.

Metal:

1. Soak the abrasive pad or wire wool in POLYTROL and apply to surface with a rubbing action.
2. Allow to work 10-20 minutes.
3. Wipe surface with a cloth to remove all residue.
4. Buff surface with a soft, lint free cloth.
5. Leave to dry.

Note: POLYTROL is not a surface coating. Its place is in the surface, not on the surface.
